In the second year they are able to specialise in either ceramics or jewellery or continue a combined creative practice using mixed media. Students will also gain a knowledge and understanding of exciting developments within international contemporary art, applied art and design, its contexts and markets. Professional practice and enterprise skills teaching will prepare students for employment and self-employment. The programme can also offer individuals an opportunity to create work in a bilingual context and environment. Practice is supported by an integrated theory programme enabling people to work confidently and professionally within the context of ceramics, jewellery and 3D art and design. The School of Art, Film and Media provides a friendly and supportive environment for students to explore their options and develop their individual style and potential.
